The work of an activated carbon filter is completed through a carbon bed. When water passes through an activated carbon filter, organic pollutants in the water are effectively adsorbed by the activated carbon particles that make up the carbon bed. In addition, there are some oxygen-containing tube energy groups on the amorphous part of the surface of activated carbon, which effectively adsorb organic pollutants in the water passing through the activated carbon filter bed by activated carbon. At the same time, activated carbon filters have a significant removal and adsorption effect on chlorine, oil, colloids, suspended solids, pigments, heavy metal ions, water odors, COD, etc. in water, effectively improving the effluent quality.
The adsorption capacity of activated carbon filters is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Can adsorb organic matter, colloidal particles, and microorganisms in water.
2. Can adsorb non-metallic substances such as chlorine, ammonia, bromine, iodine, etc.
