Media filter is a high-efficiency filtration device that uses filter media to remove
suspended solids, microorganisms, and other fine particles in water, and finally achieves the effect of reducing water turbidity and purifying water quality. Commonly used filter materials are quartz sand, activated carbon, anthracite, manganese sand, etc.
Working principle
The pores formed by the filter material are used to trap impurities such as mud, sand, colloid, and suspended solids in the raw water. Due to the scientific distribution of the filter material, the filter bed has a good interception effect on impurities, and the quality of the effluent is greatly improved. The filtration accuracy of the filter can reach up to 5μm.
The filter bed intercepts the impurities in the water step by step, so that each layer of filter material in the tank will be fully and evenly utilized, and the effective filter layer is high, thereby prolonging the service life of the filter material and reducing the operating cost of the equipment.
